Our vineyard is a work in progress undergoing a major vine restructuring to enhance and vine health and yield. This year, as we approach 20 years of growth and our 16th vintage, the vines need to be set up for the next stage of their long and productive live.
Converting whites to reds – with new grafts completed on our Chardonnay and Semillon vines last year, the vines are on the wire and will produce quiet well in their first year. They include Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec and Cabernet Franc.
The changes reflect the market pressures and offer the winemakers more opportunity to express the essence of this unique vineyard site.
The transition takes three years to reach full potential but we consider it an investment in our quality and look forward to sharing the results of this transition with you.
